What we liked
Alexa responds reliably and the mics hear you from across the room. Sound is decent for the size—better than older Dots. Compact enough for a nightstand or desk. Easy to set up. Great entry point into smart home and voice control.
What we didn't
Bass is limited—for serious music listening, step up to a full Echo. Requires an Amazon account and ties you into the Alexa ecosystem.
