Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum
Dyson V8 Review: Best Cordless Stick Vacuum?
Lightweight, strong suction, and easy to empty. We compare runtime and attachments to the V10/V11.
The Dyson V8 remains a strong cordless stick vacuum even with newer V10 and V11 models out. We used it for quick cleanups and full-floor runs for several months.
What we liked
Suction is strong for a cordless—picks up crumbs, pet hair, and debris on both carpet and hard floors. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. The bin empties with a single action. Attachments (crevice, brush) are useful for cars and upholstery. Runtime in normal mode is enough for a small to medium home.
What we didn’t
Battery life drops on max mode. The V8 is older—no LCD, and newer Dysons have longer runtime. If you have a very large home, you might need to recharge mid-clean. Filter and bin need occasional cleaning to maintain suction.
